Piore Pielaszek – ‘Il Triennale’
Silver medal at the 16th Triennale Violin Making Competition in Cremona. Bespoken for BdA, in 2021
Piotr Pielaszek has always been in contact with instruments and the violin making world, as his father is a violin maker in Poland as well. Piotr studied cello from an early age, and at 16, moved to Poznan to begin violin making studies at a musical high school. After finishing high school, Piotr became a violin making student at the Musical Academy in Poznan. He completed his bachelor studies and received a diploma with distinction.
During his studies, Piotr was lucky to be offered an internship in Marcus Klimke’s workshop, in Angers, France. This was an eye-opening experience that continued when Marcus asked him to stay on working with him. Piotr went back to school, and then returned to France as Klimke’s assistant. One year later, he also became the assistant of Andrea Frandsen, working part time in each workshop.
After two years of working in France and having taken part in two competitions, Piotr decided to start working on his own.
Piotr now creates violins and violas for discerning musicians from different parts of the world.

2021 is an extremely special year for Piotr and BdA.
In May, During the 14th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Making Competition, in Piotr’s homeland, Poland, he took both the gold medal and silver medal and the best acoustic instrument.
In September, he took the silver medal and the Sacconi special prize from the 16th Triennale international competition held in Cremona, Italy.
And I feel so lucky because all those three instruments are bespoken for ‘Bottega degli Amici’. When I started this team, bringing the top contemporary makers to the Chinese and Australian market was always been my goal.
Finely, I bring them to home. With a surprise and a reasonable price for the clients.
That’s our story, and I believe this is just the beginning.

Young, Passion, Confident with very talented hands.
In 2017, I (Jie) have come to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The Metelka International violin-making competition will be held in this beautiful city. This unique competition allows only 40 competitors to join the competition, furthermore, All competitors must craft a violin scroll with Stradivari style, only in 10 hours, at the scene. It’s a big task for the luthiers if you want to make a scroll outside your workshop with limited tools within a limited time.
As the result, Piotr Pielaszek got the top score for the scroll craft and the gold medal for his violin.
This is my first encounter with Piotr Pielaszek. During the competition, I can observe his instrument in my hand, Which made a deep impression on me.
In 2018, Piotr Pielaszek won a gold medal for his viola in Mittenwald, Germany. And in September of the same year, his violin was just one step from the finalist instruments in the “Il Triennale” international competition in Cremona, Italy. And once again, I admired his work so much. After that, In 2019, I saw his viola during the Beijing international competition. I hold his viola for about 10 minutes, And I think that’s it, he is exactly the teammate I’m looking for, even in the ‘Bottega degli amici’, this ‘Golden team’, Piotr Pielazek has his strong characters.
I send my invitation to him after that. And from then, I became his exclusive representative in the Chinese and Australian market.
Piotr Pielaszek has been invited and joined the BdA since 2019.
